Crystalline's owner Cedar Martyn is one of a few Angelenos certified in the trademarked technique known as Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy, wherein a therapist hangs from bars in the ceiling and uses her feet to massage the client. Rest assured that this isn't just someone walking on your back; we're talking Swedish strokes, expertly applied. And she can even adjust the pressure to your liking, from a gentle touch to putting the strength of her whole body into it. Using her feet also allows her to work harder and longer, or on bigger, stronger people, without becoming exhausted.
Before our treatment, Cedar offered us a drink. Well, sort of. She treated us to a Mojito Spa Treatment, placing our feet in a warm mineral bath with fresh-cut limes and oranges, and lime and peppermint essential oils. After a long soak, she brought us to the massage table, sanitized her feet and began the Ashiatsu. We were amazed at the precision her tootsies were capable of, especially when she dug in to the sore spots under our shoulder blades. We knew she had to be moving all over the table as well as jumping numerous times from the table to the floor, but she was as quiet and agile as a mouse. She completed the treatment with the second half of our Mojito, a lime zest and citrus oil sugar scrub that left our feet and calves smooth, soft and energized.

Lotus Touch Massage: Pampering for Body and Soul
When you enter Cedar Martyn's cozy space, it's hard to believe bustling Los Angeles is right outside the window. This is a quiet sanctuary of sweet smells, trickling water and relaxing music. We were delighted to receive Cedar's signature treatment, the Lotus Touch, a combination of massage and energy work that she says pulls negativity from the body and rebirths cells with a divine, golden light.
Cedar began by having us set an intention for our treatment, and then used elements from many different schools - Swedish, Thai, Shiatsu. She took her sweet time, doting on our sore muscles with skilled hands and strategically placed hot and cold stones. Cedar also had a knack for knowing just what smells would send us deeper into relaxation, from an energizing peppermint essential oil to a hot buckwheat pillow that smelled like pancakes.
After our massage, Cedar wrapped us in a blanket and treated us to an Aqua Detox ionic foot bath purported to use negative ions to unblock energy and cleanse the body of toxins from pollution, poor diet and stress. She placed our feet in what looked like an ordinary foot spa and set a meditation CD playing in the stereo. As we sat and relaxed, the water turned grey, then brown, then greenish brown, and then black! Trippy. When our time was up, Cedar gently cleaned off our feet and offered flavored water, tea and fruit. We headed out feeling as if we'd spent days there rather than hours, relaxed yet energized.

it was truly amazing not only as bodywork, but your healing energy field and heart space affected me deeply.
The deep work and pressure given during the massage was naturally skillful without too much of anything-- perfect in its intention-- yet it is your energy that was transmitted through. Even though you were using your feet, your energy gave me the sense of safety to drift into a deep state of meditation. (I keep using the word "deep" but it is the only way I can describe both the physical and spiritual aspect of your treatment).
During the treatment I had visions-- some simply unexplainable visions, then some past life, some childhood, some colors and astral; all beautiful, tranquil, peaceful and clear. After the treatment was over, I really had no idea who I was or where I was, but totally balanced and peaceful-- it really did not bother me to not know who I was in that blissful moment.
I am also inspired by your gift. I feel that I am in alignment with my own path as a bodyworker/lightworker, and by your inspiration, it gives me more of a guiding light as to continue upon a not always so easy path,-- the path of compassion, healing, and heart centered loving-kindness. Thank you.

I came to Crystalline Healing after an adverse reaction to medications that kept in bed for over a week with very little activity. After this period I was dehydrated and hadn't eaten a solid meal or been out of my house in days. I would run out of breath just getting dressed in the morning or taking a few steps around the house. Two doctors had seen me and could not pinpoint how to shake the sluggishness. As a last effort, I booked the Blissful Detox treatment package with Ear Coning, hoping the detox would make me feel a bit better. Just walking into the facility I got a very warm and peaceful feeling. The treatment room and relaxation area are serene. Cedar greeted me with a smile at the door and we connected instantly. The Aqua Detox was an amazing experience, with warm blankets, fluids and a meditation CD playing while I relaxed and watched the toxins leave my body. The Raindrop Treatment was unlike any spa treatment I've ever experienced - extremely fragrant oils applied in the most soothing way, which was both physically and emotionally healing. Cedar is extremely gifted with her healing touch and intuitiveness. I released so much tension and negative emotions that were depleting my energy. The whole treatment felt personalized to my needs. She was extremely knowledgeable about all health and spiritual matters. She handed me a gift bag upon my departure. That evening I went home and stayed in bed. The next day and ever since then my energy has been completely restored. I felt like a teenager by Monday morning - the change was unbelievable. I recommend this treatment package to anybody who is suffering in similar ways or otherwise would like to engage in complete and blissful relaxation. I plan to book many more future treatments with Cedar.
